RED ! ! ! I want to ply it tighter than I did the purple so I'm actually spinning the singles a little tighter. It's all an experiment since I have no idea what I'm doing. I'm just practicing and hoping that what I'm doing will turn out the way I want it to! Oooohhh, and I even stopped into my LYS Saturday. They now carry CherryTree Hill supersock yarn. A tad expensive at $22/100grams but I love it and was at the counter with three hanks when the co-owner of the store whispered to me.... if you are off work next weekend; it's our yearly 15% off sale... off EVERYTHING in the store with the exception of consignment stuff. HEHEHE I put the hanks back and am hoping that they will still be there next Saturday. Can't beat 15% off :) Now for the questions of the week... Do I really have to go to work? Can't I just stay home and spin?

Caution: Whine ahead... followed by spinning content, I promise. Okay, imagine being on call. You get a call from work saying that you were supposed to be there to do a case at 9:30am. You look at the clock and it's 10:30am. Er... Yes, I'm the on call nurse. No I didn't receive a call last evening to be in for a case this am. Note on the GI Lab door saying that the on call nurse was going to be a little late..... What the heck is going on??? I didn't receive any call last night at home, on my pager or on my cell phone which I keep with me all the time. I didn't put any note on the GI Lab door. AARRRGGGHHHH. GREMLINS! That's the only thing I can think of!!! I need a vacation! I haven't left work on time in over 6 weeks. The overtime is great once you see it on the pay check but not having any free time for real life is driving me SANE! whine whine whine Okay... on to more enjoyable things.... (AARRGGhh, after 1.5 hours, the Dr just called back and said that the cases can be done tomorrow. No need to come in today)... Here is the next roving! Red. Called Mojave. I love the red color! In real life, the color is slightly duller, unfortunately but I still like it. All of the purple has been put up into hanks and I just need to set the twist. I know I should do that before I start the red but..... I can't resist! I wanna start the red! I'm hoping to spin it fairly fine like the purple since I want to use it for the CandleFlame Shawl. That pattern originally calls for a bulky yarn and I do worry that my DK weight yarn will not look good but Lydia of Draw Strings used US 7 (4.5mm) circular needles and laceweight yarn so I'm thinking mine should turn out just fine. Time will tell. Time? Did I mention time... or the lack there of? Does anyone know of a way to get more free time for the fun things in life??? Please let me know! Till then... happy spinning and knitting, everyone!
